In January, Ethan gave a lecture at the Memphis Chapter of Facing History and Ourselves. At this non profit's event, he told about his grandmother's family story during WW2. The lecture was about an event that took place near his grandmother's childhood home in central Poland during the Blitz in September 1939.
Although his "Babcia" was born after the war her front yard held a terrible secret: local Jews were rounded up and burned at a church next to her property during the first month of the war. The chapel adjacent to the church was not burned and served as a waystation for moving prisioners to larger concentation camps.
By using drones and VR Ethan was able to show a view of this unknown Holocaust site in a 21st century way.
